    SOUTH PARIS — Arvo A. Raasumaa, 84, of South Paris passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Market Square Health Care Center in South Paris. He was born in Buckfield on February 1, 1928, son of Onni and Ellen (Kivimaki) Raasumaa.

    He was a self-employed logger for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors and the activities while at Market Square Health Care Center. His favorite saying was "Yum Yum."

    NORWAY — Ellen M. Snow, 82, of Norway died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was born in Norway on November 25, 1929, the daughter of George Murphy, Sr. and Myrtle Grover Murphy. She attended Norway schools and had been employed at the Norway Diner, B & M and Newberry’s before opening Ellen’s Talk of the Town starting in the early '70s; she operated Ellen’s for over 20 years.

    SOUTH PARIS — Charles V. Ridley, 83, of South Paris died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Market Square Health Care Center. He was born in North Paris on October 19, 1928, the son of Charles H. and Blanche Hart Ridley. He attended schools in Enfield, NH and had been employed at a saw mill for many years. He married Blanche Austin on June 7, 1952.

    Mr. Ridley is survived by his caretaker and friend, Karen Morrison and her children, Tara Perry, Diamond Perry and Courtney Morrison. He was predeceased by his wife on April 27, 1999 and his brother, Gordon Ridley.

    RUMFORD — Graveside services for Scott C. Billings of West Paris were conducted on Friday, May 4, at the Abbotts Mills Cemetery in Rumford, with Pastor Harvey Lord officiating. Military honors were provided by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program from Augusta. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin Street, P. O. Box 537, Rumford.
