  • Thank you from Lakeside Grange

    To the Editor:

Lakeside Grange # 63 would like to say thank you to all that participated in the fund raiser for Cody Everett. We did very well with the Pie and Bake sale. The bottle drive not so much but we want to thank the Western Maine Fish and Game for their donation toward the bottle drive, it was greatly appreciated.

  • Yard sale treasure lost

    To the Editor:

On Saturday, June 4 or Sunday, June 5 in all the chaos of my yard sale at 264 Vernon St. in Bethel, an old brown purse disappeared that was not to have been for sale. This purse was not marked to be for sale but believe may have accidentally been sold.

  • 'Big box' ambulance service

    To the Editor:

In the towns of West Paris, Sumner, Greenwood, Milton Plantation and Woodstock, there is a service called Tri-Town Ambulance. The total population of all towns together at its peak is under 10,000 people. Lots of local people worked and volunteered time and money and each town contributed funds from its budget to help support Tri-Town’s service to all.

  • Signs of elder abuse

    To the Editor:

June is Elder Abuse Awareness month. We all need to become better educated on this subject. We need to know where to report suspicions of elder abuse.

  • Vote yes for Pace

    To The Editor:

  • Thank you Rowe students

    To the Editor:

The Advertiser recently has printed several letters of appreciation to the teachers at Rowe school. The Norway Historical Society wishes to add its thanks to the staff as well.

  • Kirchherr for Selectman

    To the Editor:

Well, it's nice to have four decent candidates for selectmen in South Paris.

My support goes to Bob Kirchherr. His four years on the Planning Board, three as Chairman, give him a unique understanding of issues facing our town.

I have known Bob personally for several years. I do hope you will consider voting for him on June 14.

    Pete Cummings

    South Paris
