The six-part series will take place Thursdays, May 12 through June 23, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at CMMC, 60 High Street, in the Cardiac Rehab Education Room.
May is Lyme Disease month
May 05, 2011 12:00 amAUGUSTA — Lyme disease was first clearly described in Connecticut in 1975, but it had likely been in the United States much longer.
“Lyme moved in to Maine in 1987,” said Dr. Stephen Sears, State Epidemiologist, “and has been increasing ever since.” That is why the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) is proud to support the official declaration of May as Lyme Disease Awareness Month.

May 02, 2011 9:15 amBETHEL — REACH, the sexual assault support center for Oxford County and the towns of Bridgton and Harrison, is once again sponsoring the production of Eve Ensler’s "The Vagina Monologues." Last year, the production took place at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in South Paris to a full house. To make the production accessible to other areas of Oxford County, this year’s event will take place at two venues: Telstar High School Auditorium in Bethel on Friday, May 6 and Mt. Valley High School Auditorium, Rumford on Friday, May 13. The presentation begins at 7 p.m.
West Paris Old Home Days announces changes
Apr 28, 2011 12:00 amWEST PARIS — This year the annual West Paris Old Home Days will be June 10 and 11, a week later than usual. The change was made to coincide with the West Paris High School Alumni gathering and an optimistic chance for better weather.
The Old Home Days Committee met on Wednesday, April 13 with a fantastic turnout and significant changes. This year’s theme is “Music in the Air” ♫♪ and the plan is to carry it through in new, entertaining ways.
