Local man charged with Christmas Day robbery
Dec 29, 2011 12:00 amMECHANIC FALLS — A Mechanic Falls man was arrested on Sunday, after stealing drugs from the Rite-Aid Pharmacy on Minot Avenue in Auburn.
According to police reports, the robbery happened around 3:45 p.m. on Christmas, shortly after John Letourneau, 47, of Mechanic Falls, handed pharmacy staff a note demanding drugs.
Police said that once Letourneau got ahold of some painkillers, he fled the store.
