  • Not-so-good old days

    With our twenty-twenty hindsight, we can only shake our heads at the issues raised in this column, written 74 years ago. It appeared in the Advertiser Democrat on October 8, 1937, two years before Germany invaded France, four years before the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, 11 before Israel became a state and who knows how long before seizing oil tankers for fun and profit became popular in eastern Asia.

    13:45 – Karen Deanna Roberts, born 9-16-86, of 40 Winter St. #4, Norway, was arrested in Norway by Norway Police Officer Jeff Campbell and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Submit to Arrest/Detention.

  • Maine District Court in Oxford County

    SOUTH PARIS — The following is the Closed Case Report from Maine District Court in Oxford County from September 1, to September 30.

    Cameron D. Allen, DOB 2/22/93, of Hartford, was charged with Minor Possessing Liquor on 6/17/11 in Hartford by Oxford County Sheriff. He was found guilty and fined $200.
