  • Superior Court, Oxford County

    SOUTH PARIS — The following is the Closed Case Report from Maine Superior Court in Oxford County from July 1, to July 31.

    Nancy A. Judkins, DOB 11/20/58, of Parsonfield, was charged with OUI and Driving to Endanger on 10/12/11 in Porter by Oxford Sheriff. The first charge was dropped, found guilty on the second charge and fined $750 and license suspended for 30 days.

  • Police search for suspects in Poland home invasion

    POLAND — Androscoggin County deputies continue to search for three male suspects possibly involved in a home invasion on Route 26 last Thursday morning. 

    Detective Sergeant William Gagne of the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Department confirmed Monday that the department does have some leads, but no arrests have been made. 

    On August 16 around 11:38 a.m., the department responded to a home invasion at 409 Maine Street.

    22:25 – Brett Ernest McAllister, born 10-4-67, of P.O. Box 520, Parsonsfield, was arrested on Colcord Rd. by Maine State Trooper Chris Farley and charged with Failure to Appear, OUI, OAS, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Failure to Report an Accident by the Quickest Possible Means.

  • Superior Court, Oxford County

    SOUTH PARIS — The following is the Closed Case Report from Maine Superior Court in Oxford County from July 1, to July 31.

    Michael R. Adams, DOB 10/22/87, of Peru, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs on 7/15/10 in Dixfield by Maine State Police. He was found guilty and sentenced for seven days and probation revoked.

  • Not-so-good old days

    Readers, I'm sure, will be shocked. Shocked to read this week's bulletin from the past. To think that the residents of one of our pristine Oxford Hills communities once engaged in such licentious behavior boggles the mind. In the first case cited under the heading "Norway Municipal 
Court," the wicked truth was exposed for all to behold - people in Oxford County had been caught (gasp) gambling.
