Poland Spring Academy students tour museums

MUSEUM TOURS - Students at Poland Spring Academy recently spent a day touring two museums in Auburn and Lewiston. They began the day at Auburn’s Knight House Museum, including a cobbler’s shop. Kitchen utensils, farm implements, clothing, and toys were highlights. After the tour, they crossed the Veterans’ Bridge, toured the Veterans Park, and visited the Bates Mill Museum. This tour gave a look at Lewiston’s history in textile mills and shoe shops. Some of the students even identified family members who had worked in the mills.
