Learning to ski

LEARNING TO SKI — Boxberry students had their first ski of the season on Friday. Ski instructor, Jessica Person, taught the students some basics of x-c skiing. Boxberry students learned how to pick up the tips of their skis to turn, snowplow, herringbone to get up hills, fall down and get up correctly and balance and glide on their skis. During February vacation on Thursday, February 24th at 11am there will be a winter carnival for the students and any other local children who would like to join in the festivities. Winter carnival games at Carter's include scavenger hunts, fun relay races, prizes, and an obstacle course with a small jump.
