Jenkins honored for leadership

SOUTH PARIS — Following a successful field hockey season at Oxford Hills Middle School this fall, two awards were issued - one for leadership and the other for spirit. Amanda Jenkins received the Sue Craib Leadership Award, while Kate Campbell was selected for Spirit, receiving the Rose Schwaner Spirit Award. The newly formed awards, to be issued annually, are to honor longtime coaches Sue Craib and Rose Schwaner, who between them coached over 60 years while employed in the school district. The recipients of the awards will have their names placed on a recognition plaque and will also receive an award plaque to keep. The recognition plaques, located at the school, have a picture of Coaches Schwaner and Craib on them along with a brief summary of their coaching careers.
