Rowe School art show

NORWAY — Thanks go out to the Norway Memorial Library for hosting the first Guy E. Rowe Elementary School Student Art Show. The show will display art by K-6 art students and will include several grade-level group projects.

Rowe school art teacher, Eva Kozun, is honored to present their fine work and everyone who takes art is included. Students meet for only 40 minutes once a week but these students work hard and create wonderfully interesting works of art. This show highlights work that was in large part compiled just over the last nine-week trimester. She is  sure you will agree it is an impressive body of work.

During the coming weeks they will share with you the joy and happiness art brings to their lives every day. Many mediums are being presented, including paint, paper, clay, pen and ink printmaking, collage and more.

The show opens on April 13, and runs through May 17. A reception for the artists and their parents will be held on April 14, from 5-6 p.m. downstairs in the children’s craft section of the Norway Library.

Call the Library at 743-5309 if you have any questions. This month of March celebrates Youth Art Month but at Rowe they celebrate art every day.

ROWE ARTISTS — This colorful sculpture is part of a Big Park Sculpture. From left, Dawson Vincent, Kaito Benson and Nic Quillen from Mrs. Plummer’s Kindergarten class are wishing they could be tiny enough to climb up and over the bumps and ramps. When you visit the library show imagine that this was a real huge size sculpture in a community park ... then imagine playing in this colorful and fun sculpture park? Where would you stand, run, jump, or play?
