As part of their school-business partnership, OFCU sponsored the event and provided funding for a bus so that 50 Middle School students could attend.
RUMFORD — On Friday, January 28, Oxford Federal Credit Union sponsored a free ski and tubing night at Black Mountain of Maine. As part of their partnership with Oxford Hills Middle School, OFCU provided a bus for 50 OHMS students so that they could participate in an evening of winter sports, fun and games. The school chaperones reported that the students had an outstanding time and thanked the Credit Union staff, stating that many of the students would never have had the opportunity to enjoy the evening if OFCU had not sponsored the event and the bus.
This school-business partnership is one of nine school-business partnerships coordinated by Maureen Mooney-Howard, Director of Oxford Hills Education Exchange. Partnerships help reach the mission of the Education Exchange by improving the education and aspirations of students by increasing community involvement in schools.
