OXFORD HILLS — The Norway-Paris Kiwanis Club, the OHCHS Student Council and the SAD 17 School Board honored Lydia Eusden recently at a School Board meeting. Lydia is the fifth grade teacher at Hebron Station School. She was nominated by two of her colleagues. Maury Blake, librarian at the school, noted that "Lydia gives her students the best education possible and always maintains a positive attitude. She encourages her students to believe in themselves and to enjoy the simple pleasures in learning. She goes out of her way to ensure that our students receive the attention they need. In addition, Lydia is always willing to lend a helping hand and is a constant source of encouragement to fellow staff members."

In addition to being honored by the School Board, Lydia was honored by the Norway-Paris Kiwanis Club at their February 3 luncheon meeting. Also, she received a gift from the High School Student Council and her name has been added to the Staff Member of the Month plaque sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Norway-Paris.
