Adult ed summer offerings

PARIS — The Oxford Hills/Buckfield Adult Education program will be offering the following classes beginning in July:

Computer Lab, with Denise Dumont. Learn basic computer skills. This course is appropriate for adults who want to improve computer skills for work, school, and college transitions. Thursdays, July 12- August 16, 9 a.m.-12 noon. Tuition is $75 and book fee is $20. Located at Western Maine University College Center, Computer Lab room.

Reading/Writing Skills, with C.J. Skofield. Take this opportunity to work on your reading and writing skills. This course is appropriate for adults who want to improve skills for work, school and college transitions. Thursdays, July 12- August 16, 9 a.m.-12 noon. Tuition is $75 and book fee is $20. Located at Western Maine University College Center, Room 210.

Math Skills, with C.J. Skofield. Learn basic math skills. This course is appropriate for adults who want to brush up on or learn new math skills for work, school, and college transitions. Tuesdays, July 10- August 14, 9 a.m.-12 noon. Tuition is $75 and book fee is $20. Located at Western Maine University College Center, Room 210.

GED/Academic Prep., with Clancy Allen. Prepare for the GED, with subjects in reading, writing, science, social studies and math. Wednesdays, July 11- August 15, 5 - 8 p.m. Tuition is $75 and book fee is $20. Located at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Library.

GED Testing, with Clyde Clark. This testing is for adults who have been enrolled in GED Preparation classes and are ready to take the official GED tests. Wednesdays, July 11- August 15, 5 - 8 p.m. Tuition is free. Located at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Adult Ed. office. Call for appointment.

Substitute Teacher Training, with Patrick Hartnett. This workshop gives you the necessary tools to become a Substitute Teacher. Runs one evening, Tuesday, July 10 from 4 - 6 p.m. Tuition is free. Truck Drivers License Training (Class A or B) with Jerry Verrill. This course helps you earn a Commercial Truck Driver's License. Starts Tuesday, June 5 from 4 - 8 p.m. Call Donna Kusheba for requirements, information and current tuition, at 743-8842, ext. 9525.
