Local students perform

GORHAM — Local students are taking part in the University of Southern Maine School of Music Ensembles. The Ensembles perform throughout the year in Corthell Concert Hall, USM Gorham, and in venues throughout the local and extended region.

The ensembles include the USM Concert Band, USM Chorale, USM Wind Ensemble, USM Chamber Singers, Southern Maine Symphony Orchestra, USM Composers Ensemble, USM Jazz Ensemble and Lab Jazz Band, and USM Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Local students in the ensembles include Karianna Merrill of Norway, USM Concert Band and USM Chorale and Matthew Cloutier of Paris, USM Wind Ensemble and USM Jazz Ensemble, trombone.
