Hebron Academy hosts annual hockey contest

HEBRON — Hebron Academy students did the cheering for a change, as alumni, parents and faculty took to the ice recently for the annual Green and White hockey challenge.

Alumnus George Dycio of Lewiston and parent Mike Hughes shared goal-tending duties for each team in a close game, with the green team besting the white team 18-15. Players from the classes of 1978 through 2009 traveled from Maine, Massachusetts and Ontario to join the fun.

After the game, players and fans enjoyed lunch in the Athletic Center before cheering the girls' varsity basketball team as they went against Traip Academy and the boys' varsity hockey team as they battled South Kent School.

Taking to the ice were John Slattery '04 (Hebron), Mike Hughes (Hebron), George Dycio '78 (Lewiston), Mike Messuri (Winchester, MA), Dan Carpentier '03 (Auburn), Chuck Hall (Hebron), James Leblanc '02 (Hebron), Josh Mosher '09 (Auburn), Joe Hearn (Auburn), Matt Plante (Hebron), Erik Rousseau '06 (Auburn), Adam Rousseau '03 (Auburn), Marc Roy '78 (New Gloucester), Erik Wisutskie '09 (Raymond), Ben Blais '10 (Minot), Patrick Taylor '00 (Gloucester, MA) and John Mills (Mississauga, ON).
