Middle School

HEBRON — Hebron Academy Middle School Director Paul Brouwer and English teacher Grace Drown recently presented certificates for the fall trimester honor roll.

Highest Honors (A- average or higher): Rachel Brouwer of Hebron, Riley Hemmings of Hebron, Avery Jurek of Hebron, Jack Morton of South Paris and Tyler Swanbeck of Hebron.

High Honors (B+ average or higher): Hadwin Belcher of Farmington, Nathaniel Bennett of Oxford, Olivia Berger of Waterford, Emily Hemmings of Hebron, Dylan Richmond of Mason Twp, Bradley Sperl of Minot, Emily Thompson of Norway and Emma Timberlake-Knapp of Hebron.

Honors (B average or higher): Hanz Berger of Waterford, Samuel Bourget of Hebron, Katya Fonz of Auburn and Isabelle Layman of Hebron

These students were honored for academic achievement at the Middle School which includes history, English, math, science and languages supplemented by music, art, outdoor skills, and physical education.

Paris Elementary

SOUTH PARIS — Paris Elementary School is pleased to announce awards for the first trimester of the 2011-2012 school year.

Clarkson

POTSDAM, NY — Kathleen B. Mingle was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester at Clarkson University. Mingle, a junior majoring in chemical engineering, is from South Paris.

Dean's List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

Saint Michael's

COLCHESTER, VT — Morgan Brown , son of Amy and Lawrence Brown of Casco, was named to the Dean’s List at Saint Michael’s College. Brown, a first-year Media Studies and Digital Arts major, graduated from Lake Region High School.

Students who complete a minimum of 12 credits and achieve a grade point average of at least 3.4 at the end of a semester are recognized for their scholarship by inclusion on the Dean's List.

UConn

STORRS, CT — Kemsen Elaine Boyd Searles of Norway was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2011 semester at the University of Connecticut.

To make the Dean’s List, students must take at least 12 credits, finish the semester with a grade point average that is among the top 25 percent of students enrolled in their school or college, and have no grade below a “C.”

Wheaton

NORTON, MA — The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester at Wheaton College in Norton, MA.

Natasha Piirainen, a resident of Mechanic Falls, is a member of the Class of 2014; Brent Landry, a resident of Oxford and a member of the Class of 2014, is pursuing a major in Chemistry; Matthew McVety, a resident of Otisfield is a member of the Class of 2015 and Elysha Bosworth, a resident of Naples, is a member of the Class of 2015.

To earn Dean's List honors, a student must complete at least three graded courses and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above.
