Local students take part in USM’s ensemble performances

GORHAM — USM School of Music is proud to announce the local students who took part in the ensemble performances in the Fall 2010 semester. These ensembles are highly acclaimed, practicing throughout the semester to master difficult and varied musical works. Local students participating include Gwen Randall of Bridgton, bass clarinet, USM wind ensemble/concert band; Owen Conforte of Lovell, guitar/vocalist, USM Jazz Combo/Jazz Ensemble; Sarah Sawin of Lovell, flute, USM Wind Ensemble/Concert Band and flute/piccolo, Southern Maine Symphony Orchestra; Ashley Iwans of Norway, alto, USM Chorale and violin, Southern Maine Symphony Orchestra; Karianna Merrill of Norway, alto, USM Chorale; Joshua Witham of Norway, bass, USM Chamber Singers and Matt Cloutier of Paris, trombone, USM Jazz Ensemble and trombone, USM Wind Ensemble/Concert Band.
