HARRISONBURG, VA – Dorothy Thurlow Davis, 86, of Harrisonburg, VA died Tuesday Dec. 14, 2010 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA.

She was born March 20, 1924 in Oxford County, Maine and was the daughter of the late Bernal F. Thurlow and Hope Maybelle Thurlow.

She grew up a member of the Woodstock Seventh-day Adventist Church and was a member of the New Market, VA SDA church at the time of her death.

She attended Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, MA and was the X-Ray File Supervisor at the Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, MD when she retired.

She married Ronald C. Davis Sr. in 1951 and he proceeded her in death in 1971. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Victor C. Davis of Mt. Airy, MD and Dr. Ronald C. Davis Jr. of Harrisonburg, VA. She is also survived by her sisters, Virginia Thurlow Mason of West Paris and Beryl Thurlow Hall of Bryant Pond,  as well as six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday May 29, 2011 at the Woodstock Seventh-day Adventist Church.
