OXFORD — Joseph Francis “Feeny” Wormwood, 38, of Oxford passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 9, 2010 from an injury sustained while working. He was born in Norway on June 21, 1972 to John G. Wormwood Jr. and the late Arline T. Wormwood of South Paris.
He graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1991 where he participated in the forestry program. After graduation he worked in the woods and later became employed in the modular housing industry where he was involved in new home setups.
Those who knew him knew that he liked to live life to the fullest. He enjoyed mudding, having pig roasts and spending time with friends and family. If there were kids around he was always a kid with them, a true child at heart. He always knew how to make his several nieces and nephews laugh. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. Most of all he will be missed for being the life of the party.
Mr. Wormwood is survived by his sons, Joseph Whitney, and Justin Wormwood; grandson, Kayden; his father, John G. Wormwood Jr.; brothers John, Raymond, Michael, Jason and Joshua Wormwood; sisters, Theresa Derenburger, Laura Poire, Jennifer Wormwood and Jillian Wormwood; nine nieces and nine nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Arline T. Wormwood.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oxford Hills and Weston Funeral Services, 1037 Main St., Rte 26, Oxford. On-line condolences may be expressed to the family at www.oxfordhillsfuneralservices.com.
