THATAWAY — A new sign announcing Norway's status as a National Historic Village was erected across from Aubuchon Hardware this week.

This is a start and need to promote a downtown area as it has over the decades pretty much disappeared. Enjoy seeing renovation in the works and also the website below.

Great to see more presence online as people travel to the area they are away of something here in Norway. As the possible plans for a rail station in S. Paris and a casino move forward more people are in the area need to drive interest in getting people downtown. Away from the big box stores (Wal-Mart) which take away from the charm of Maine towns and drains local revenue.

Question I have are packing plans in the works as that I recall is the biggest drawback from going there, traffic and parking. as if it takes more then a minute to find a spot most people will just go somewhere else!

Keep up the good work Downtown Norway, it is a great place to visit!
