Mrs. Berniece Emma Swan


BRYANT POND - Berniece Emma Swan, 92, died at her residence February 14, 2008.
     She was born in Sumner on March 13, 1915, the daughter of Emery and Ester (Amero) Ryerson and was educated in local schools. Prior to her marriage to Moses Swan on August 29, 1945, she had worked as a nanny and later a homemaker, having lived in Bryant Pond for 63 years. She loved to knit and crochet.
     Mrs. Swan is survived by a daughter, Marie Swan Pearson of Queen Creek, AZ; five grandchildren, Michael Cummings and his wife Julie, Dawn Mackenzie and her husband Ben, Michelle Winslow and her husband Peter, Todd Mackenzie and his wife Karen and Brandy Maddocks and her husband Mitch; six great-grandchildren, Meaghan and Amber Cummings, Janna, Jared and Johncurtis Winslow and Hannah Moran; one great-great-grandson, Noah Smith and seven nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 1983; one daughter, Noreen Swan Russo in 1995; four sisters and three brothers.
     Visiting hours will be held at the Andrews Funeral Home, 64 Andrews Road, South Woodstock on Thursday, February 21from 6-8 p.m. with funeral services at the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Lloyd Waterhouse officiating.
