Mrs. Lucille A. Kenerson

FRYEBURG - Lucille A. Kenerson, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at her home in Fryeburg. She was born in Portland on January 30, 1931, the daughter of Norman Annis and Bessie Dresser. She graduated from Norway High School and attended Gorham State Teacher's College. She taught school for many years and worked for the Postal Service, but most of her life was dedicated to working side by side with her husband Bob in several family owned businesses.

She was an active life member of the Order of Eastern Star, Past Mother Advisor of Rainbow Assembly #42, Frederick Robie Grange, and the First Congregational Church of Fryeburg for many years. She enjoyed traveling the country with Bob in their fifth wheel camper. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and skiing. She was also very proud of her beautiful rose garden.

Mrs. Kenerson is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert; a son, Rob and his wife Kathi of Levant; a daughter, Teresa Price and her husband Ed of Fryeburg; sister, Nathalie Caler and her husband Bruce of Arlington, VT; numerous close in-laws and step-brothers and sisters; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Reginald in 1981.

An Eastern Star service followed by a funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 23 at the First Congregational Church, 655 Main Street in Fryeburg. After the service, internment was at Pine Grove Cemetery, Fryeburg followed by a reception at the Masonic Hall on Portland Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Maine Chapter, 170 US Route 1, Suite 250, Falmouth, ME 04105.
