Eleanor (Frothingham) Heald
SOUTH PARIS – Eleanor (Frothingham) Heald, 79, of South Paris, died after an extended illness on October 31, 2010 at the Market Square Health Care Center in South Paris. She was born on October 26, 1931 in Lewiston, to William L. Frothingham and Marguerite (Brimigion) Frothingham. She grew up in South Paris and attended Paris schools. She worked in local shops until her marriage to Robert F. Heald on November 12, 1949. She was a loving, devoted and hardworking wife, mother and grandmother.
After many years as a homemaker, she returned to the work force in the laundry room at Andrews Nursing Home in South Paris. She worked her way up to become a CNA where she remained employed for 25 years. Her unassuming, gentle nature earned her recognition from staff and co-workers in 1988.
Mrs. Heald is survived by her daughter, Shirli Allen-Heald of Norway and her sons Jacob Allen and Nathaniel Allen; daughter, Patti Coolidge and her husband William of Bryant Pond and their children Christopher Coolidge and Alicia Richards; son, Bill Heald and his wife Karen of West Paris and five great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her former husband, Robert.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, November 6 from 12 – 2 p.m. at Oxford Hills/Weston Funeral Services, 1037 Main St., Rte 26, Oxford.
