NORWAY — Benjamin L. Perreault, 71, of Norway, died Friday May 13, 2011 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with his loving family by his side. He was born in Allston, MA on February 21, 1940, the son of Phillys and Harry Perreault. He graduated from Brighton High School in the Automotive program in 1959. During his senior year in high school he joined the National Guard.

Mr. Perreault worked at Tire Industries in Andover, MA as a rubber grinder for over 25 years. He also made hockey pucks for the Boston Bruins. He had recently been employed at Poland Springs Resort for the past 20 years.

He enjoyed a good game of golf, boating and fishing on Norway Lake. He was a member of American Legion Post #82 of Norway.

Mr. Perreault is survived by his wife Janice of Norway; three children, Jeannette St. Pierre of Oxford, Benjamin Perreault Jr. of Brookline, NH and Bruce Perreault of Norway; grandchildren, Eric and Corey St. Pierre, Dillion Perreault and Gavin and Noah Perreault; three brothers, David Perreault of Farmington, Michael Perreault of Greenwood and Jon Perreault of Statesville, NC and a sister, Joan Haskell of Seabrook, NH. He was predeceased by his siblings, Marcien Crane of Mechanic Falls, Judy Girard of Somerville, MA and Edmund Perreault of Byfield, MA.

Family and friends attended visitation on Wednesday, May 18 followed by a celebration of his life at Oxford Hills and Weston Funeral Services, 1037 Main Street, Rte. 26, Oxford. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to the American Lung Association of Maine, 122 State Street, Augusta, ME 04330.
