She was born on April 23, 1930 in Bath, the daughter of Merton and Laura (Poirier) Edgerly. She was a homemaker most of her life. Her favorite pastime was cooking; she could make a mean lemon meringue pie. She loved having all her family together for the holidays where she did all of the cooking. Any reason to her was a good reason to cook. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, gardening. She especially loved camping out at the bluegrass festivals throughout Maine.
