NORWAY — Mildred A. Herrick, 98, of Norway passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center. She was born in South Paris on March 14, 1913 to Leo and Emmaline (Harding) Marston.

She loved taking care of children especially her grandchildren, but no matter who they were she wanted to be called “Grammie.” She loved doing embroidery, going to the library and reading.

She was a member of the Universalist Church in Norway, and worked on many Kiwanis Dinners.

Mrs. Herrick is survived by her daughter, Donna Bedard; grandchildren, Susan Paradis, Martha Wiseman and Gemma Merrill; great-grandchildren, Justin Paradis, Mindi and Nikki Ward and Jake Wiseman; great-great-grandchildren, Martika Ward, Kylie Blanchette and Celeste Paradis; brothers, Edgar Marston and Lewis (Sonny) Bachelder; sister, Dorathea Tyler and cousin, June Marston.

She is predeceased by her husband, Humphrey G. Herrick; daughter, Deanna Cox; infant son, Donald Herrick and infant great-grandson, Joshua Robichaud.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, May 6 at 11 a.m. at Norway Pine Grove Cemetery in South Paris. Donations may be made in her memory to Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center, 29 Marion Ave., Norway, ME 04268.
