GRANBURY, TX — Lewis E. Barker, 82, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 10, 2011 in Granbury, TX.

He was born October 12, 1928, in Bridgton, to the late Edwin K. and Ruby M. (Decker) Barker. He married Carolyn Johnson in 1950, in Virginia. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn and two brothers, Raymond and Earl Barker.

Mr. Barker is survived by his children, Carolis Mask of Lampasas, TX, Alexis Crawford of Knoxville, TN, Terrance Barker of Maryville, TN, Glennis Carter of Crousville, ME, Kermit Barker of Cape Carol, FL, Laurelea Wilkinson of Granbury, TX and Shawn Barker of Fort Worth, TX; one sister, Ruth Lawrence of South Paris; two brothers, Merl and his wife Eva of Waterford and Richard and his wife Hilda of Casco; a sister-in-law, Edeena Barker of Lewiston; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held in Granbury, TX, on Tuesday, March 15, at Wiley Funeral Home.
