Marjorie F. McAllister

WINDHAM — Marjorie F. McAllister, 89, passed away of natural causes on March 16, 2011. Born in South Paris on April 4, 1921, she was the daughter of Philip and Velma (Lord) Keene. She graduated from South Paris High School in 1939. She enlisted in the WAVES in 1944. Following her time in the service, she worked for General Electric in New York and later for Consumers Water Company in Portland.

In 1967, she married Hazen McAllister, now deceased. She is survived by a sister, Barbara E. Chapman of Windham; several step-children, David S. McAllister of Spain, Lyndon McAllister of Cumberland, Linda Richardson of Virginia, Joann Conant of Arizona and Herbert McAllister of Windham and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be interment in the spring at Brooklawn Cemetery, Portland. Arrangements under the care of Wilson Funeral Home, Gray.
