NORWAY — Sidney J. Greenblatt, 68, of Norway passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center. He was born June 22, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Benjamin and Lillian Greenblatt. During his childhood he spent many summers at Rockaway Beach in New York. He graduated from Brooklyn Tech High School then went on to earn an associates degree in Electronics at the RCA Institute. He worked for many years as a Systems Analyst.

He was a friendly person who enjoyed writing, theater, reading, crossword puzzles, chess, scrabble and computers. He wrote book reviews and worked on current residents' newsletter.

Mr. Greenblatt is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anita and two stepchildren, Raymond Mercier and Scott Mercier.

Interment will be in the spring at Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center, 29 Marion Ave., Norway, ME 04268 or Beacon Hospice, 55 Lisbon St., Lewiston, ME 04240.
