OTISFIELD — Beatrice A. DeCoste, 75, passed away Tuesday morning, February 1, 2011 at home with her loving family around her. She was very courageous while fighting the battle of pancreatic cancer. She was born in Everett, MA on January 19, 1936 to Harry and Clara Pratt. She graduated from Everett High School.

On September 10, 1955 she married Philip T. DeCoste of Chelsea. They made their home in Everett, MA with eight wonderful children. Then she and Philip retired and moved to Otisfield 13 years ago.

She was a homemaker and also a home health aide. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles, dress up her collector dolls and take care of her family.

Mrs. DeCoste is survived by her eight children, Elaine Joyce of Colorado, Thomas DeCoste of Massachusetts, Carol DeCoste of New Jersey, Denise DeCoste of Massachusetts, Doreen Marshall and husband Darin of Florida, Steven DeCoste and wife Jacqueline of Massachusetts, James DeCoste and wife Michelle of Massachusetts and Jeffery DeCoste of Massachusetts. She was the loving wife of Philip T. DeCoste for 55 years. She has 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister, Martha Russ. She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Helen and brothers, Harry and Billy.

At her request there will be no services at this time. Burial will be in the spring at Merrill Memorial Garden Cemetery in Otisfield.
