NORWAY — Richard H. Maxim, 86, of Norway, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Market Square Health Care Center in South Paris. He was born in Norway, November 27, 1924 to Horace and Mabel (Burgess) Maxim. He had worked locally at B E. Cole Shoe Shop, Paris Gladding, C. B. Cummings & Sons and later for LaVerdiere’s. He married the former Arline Cash on November 27, 1954.

He enjoyed working in his wood lot cutting wood for all his wood customers and working on people’s Model A’s. He was a Model A enthusiast and owned various Model A’s.

Mr. Maxim is survived by his wife, Arline Maxim of Norway and a special niece, Eulalie Buswell.

Family and friends attended a funeral service on Sunday, January 2 at 1 p.m. at Oxford Hills & Weston Funeral Services, 1037 Main St., Rte 26, Oxford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Lions Club of Norway-Paris, P.O. Box 49, So. Paris, ME 04281.
