Kenneth Frederick Fanning

CALICO ROCK, AR - Memorial services for Kenneth Frederick Fanning of Calico Rock, AR, were held Wednesday, November 10, at the family home. Mr. Fanning died Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Calico Rock Hospital, at the age of 79. He was born November 23, 1930 in Providence, RI, the son of Francis and Ellen Hargreaves Fanning. He worked as a Geophysicist, performing underwater mapping, for the Naval Oceanographic Office.

He was a post WWII U.S. Army veteran. He lived in Calico Rock, AR since 2006, moving from Long Beach, MS. He enjoyed target shooting, scuba diving, tying fishing flies and underwater and surface archeology. He was a world traveler and was a certified diving instructor.

Mr. Fanning is survived by a son, Thomas (Jacque) Fanning of Waterford; the companion of his late son, Lori Davis of Waterford and two friends, Jill Easton and Jim Spencer, both of Calico Rock, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Timothy.
