Earl W. Lawrence

AUBURN — Earl W. Lawrence, 82 of Lewiston died Friday at Clover Health Care Center.

He was born in West Minot, December 27, 1928 the son of Leonard and Grace Leach Lawrence. He graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in 1948 and faithfully served his country in the Navy.

On December 17, 1949 he married Dorothy Wood who died June 18, 2002. Earl had been employed as a machinest in New Jersey and retired from Tampax in Auburn. While working for Tampax they sent him to Ireland to help set up other plants.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and life. He had traveled to Alaska. Earl was an accomplished woodworker making novelties such as wishing wells and flowers.

He is survived by his son Leonard and his wife Terry of Farmington, a sister Bessie Bryant of West Minot, several nieces, nephews and cousins. His best friends Frank, Larry and Irene.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1pm at the Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 26 West Dwinal Street, Mechanic Falls with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Minot. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday 6 - 8 p.m.
