Albert W. Belanger Jr.

LAS VEGAS, NV — Albert W. Belanger Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on March 5, 2011 at his home.

He was born in Oxford, on January 25, 1933, the son of Albert W. Belanger Sr. and Marjorie Perkins Roy. He grew up in Oxford and Norway, graduating from Norway High School in the class of 1951.

Upon completion of high school, Mr. Belanger enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, during which time he met and eventually married his soul mate Charlene. They chose Las Vegas as their home and had three beautiful children, Eddie, Brad and Darinda. He devoted countless hours coaching his sons on the athletic fields as well as spending time with his daughter and her friends in supporting her each and every endeavor. His efforts didn’t stop with his children as he also took the time to teach every one of his grandchildren how to swim.

During these times, Mr. Belanger always made time for his love, wife and best friend, Charlene, whom he did anything and everything for. He found his professional calling in the Operating Engineers where he would work for 28 years before retiring from ACME Electric in 1998.

When he wasn’t enjoying his family or his pool, Mr. Belanger could be found rooting for the other two loves of his life, the Boston Celtics and the New York Yankees. He now has the pleasure of never missing another game.

Mr. Belanger’s children’s greatest gift to him were his precious grandchildren, Jeremy, Staci, Jimmy, Austin, Autumn, Ariel, Mackenzie, Aysha and Bailey and five great-grandchildren, Justice, Jayden, Jacob, Dylan and Isabelle.

He had two brothers, Tommy and his late brother Brad, whom he has joined in the afterlife.
