Elizabeth Ridley

OXFORD — Elizabeth “Betty” Ridley, 89, of Oxford died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Market Square Health Care Center in South Paris. She was born October 7, 1922, at Oxford, the daughter of Ai and Mildred Twitchell. She married Eugene “Dick” Ridley on Aug. 28, 1942.

She worked at area manufacturing businesses and operated a barbershop and ceramics studio at their home on Route 26. She was a member of the Oxford Advent Christian Church.

Mrs. Ridley is survived by her husband, Dick; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Oscar, John and James Twitchell and sisters, Mary Libby and Ruth Chouinard.

At her request there is no funeral service. Interment will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn. Donations in her memory may be made to Oxford Rescue, 701 Main St., Oxford, ME 04270 or Advent Christian Campground, P.O. Box 145, Mechanic Falls, ME 04256.
