Elma H. Heino

SWEDEN — Elma H. Heino, 96, of Sweden died Saturday April 9, 2011 at Market Square Health Care in South Paris. She was born in Finland on December 19, 1914, the daughter of Oscar and Hilma Antintytar Anderson. She was educated in Harrison schools. She married William Heino who died in 1963. She worked in shipyards, shoeshops, corn factory, cleaning summer camps, and as a homemaker. She enjoyed many things including birds, gardening, sewing, picking berries, animals especially cats and hounds, singing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Heino is survived by two daughters, Priscilla Hilton and her husband Luther of Waterford and Barbara Walo and her husband Stephen of Otisfield; a son, William Heino Jr. of Sweden; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; one daughter, Gloria Packard; a grandson, Travis Packard and 10 brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Lutheran Cemetery in Harrison. Arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 45 Main Street, South Paris. On-line condolences may be shared with her family at www.chandlerfunerals.com.
