Richard E. 'Dick' Andrews

DANVERS, MA — Richard E. "Dick" Andrews, 64, formerly of Essex, MA and Kittery, died February 15, 2011 in the Hunt Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Danvers following an extended illness. Born in Ipswich on May 6, 1946, he was the son of the late William W. and Hazel L. (Young) Andrews. He was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1965.

As a youth, he was involved in both the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. His interests were hiking, sports, bowling and tropical fish. He was employed by the former Hood Foam Company in Marblehead.

Mr. Andrews is survived by two brothers, Paul R. and his wife Sheron Andrews of Poland and William W. Andrews, Jr. and his fiancée Ellie Grennier of Turner; a sister, Carol E. and her husband, Sam Auditore of Amelia, OH; an aunt, Elizabeth and her husband, Harry Godfrey and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

His funeral service was held on Saturday, March 12 in the Trinity Congregational Church. There were no visiting hours. Interment was held privately in the Spring Street Cemetery, Essex.
