Howard G. Inman

ALBANY TWP – Howard G. Inman, 86, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 1, 2011.

He was born in Albany, Maine on December 21, 1924, the son of Benjamin and Gusta (Kimball) Inman.

He served in WWII and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star at the Battle of the Bulge.

On May 22, 1948 he married Barbara Stearns. He worked for Bennett’s Garage in Bethel, Maine for many years until he bought his own garage, Inman’s Garage in So. Waterford, Maine which he ran for 25 years. He enjoyed his retirement in Florida in the winters and at Songo Pond in the summers.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Barbara; children Andy and Renee of Nashua, NH, Mike and June of Albany, Maine, Terry and Frank of Albany, Maine and Nita and Ed of Norway, Maine; grandchildren Michelle, Jason, Brian, Dareth, Chris and Kylie; great grandchildren Tyler, Ashley and Zackary.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation, Friday, March 4th from 6 – 8 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 8 at Oxford Hills and Weston Funeral Services, 1037 Main St. Rte.26, Oxford, ME.
