Firemen recognized for service

LIFETIME OF SERVICE —  Ronald McAllister receives a certificate of appreciation from Lovell Fire Chief Tommie McKenzie during a January 22 ceremony at the County Commissioners Office. McAllister gave 57 years of service to Lovell as a firefighter, code enforcement officer and building and plumbing inspector.

HONORED —  Gene Bell, right, of Buckfield, is thanked by County Commissioner David Duguay for his many years of service to the town as a firefighter. Last year, Bell was given the Maine Federation of Firefighters Lifetime Achievement Award for his 51 years on the Buckfield Fire Department.
