SOUTH WOODSTOCK — G' evening dear readers, sorry for no weekly column for the past three weeks - with all the bookings the band has to commit to and with the holiday and all.

Condolences to the following families on the loss of their loved ones: Rodney Allen, Irene Richardson, Rita P. Wilson, Mary Robinson, Daniel J. Miclon, Barbara E. Roy, Duane Hayes and Joe Volkerneck. Thoughts and prayers to each family.

Get well wishes are going out to Joyce Hathaway, Louise Guilford, Dotty Packard and Donna Palmer.

Erlon Hadley was surprised at a gathering for him at the Paris Legion Hall recently. This event was planned by his children and grandchildren to help him celebrate his 80th birthday.

His brothers Maurice (and Gloria) and Glendon (and Martha) were in attendance, along with great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other family members.

Many long time friends were also in attendance. It was good seeing the family members as we had not seen some of them for quite awhile. It was a very enjoyable evening and loved the music.

We enjoyed two great Thanksgiving meals with all the fixings. The first one was with 36 friends in Litchfield; three turkeys were cooked and there was so much great food to share plus all the desserts that were brought.

Most everyone took home a doggie dish to have for the next day. Then we joined our son Craig and his fiancè April and both families for a great Thanksgiving supper. Sixteen were in attendance; April and daughter Kayla put together a great meal.

Loved the homemade turkey stuffing and the squash was just to my liking. Everything was just so delicious. April made homemade pies and some of us brought other homemade desserts to share. I also donated four dozen homemade yeast rolls for the occasion.

After supper Yogi drove Gordon and Celia home. What an awesome get together with family and future-in-laws.

Celebrating December birthdays are Bill Grover, George DeWitt, Brenda DeWitt, Dell Parker, Cleo Ryerson, Jane Roberts, Jim Mason, Jr., Lyndon Mason, Rachel Grover, Laurie Wilson, Paul Benson, Alex Poland, Roni Grover, Jr. and Christopher Wilday.

Anniversary wishes are going out to Kevin and Natasha Hodson and Randy and Tia Gladden.
