BRYANT POND — Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Tuesday, November 27, will be a ladies meeting at 9 a.m. for "coffee cup decorations." Looking ahead, there will be a meeting at 10 a.m. on December 1, to decorate the church for the Christmas season.

On Tuesday, December 11, the church will be hosting the Plant and Root Maine rally at 7 p.m. Fellowship time will follow the service. On December 16, at 6 p.m. there will be a children's Christmas program.

Judith Grover Tent 17, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, met at the Grange Hall on Monday, November 12, for a regular meeting. There was a letter from the National President regarding the 2013 convention fundraisers.

The Monument Committee reported that Marybeth Hoover designed posters to be placed around town to remind people to submit names for the Honor Roll. Elsie put them up. Options for placement of names on the Honor Roll were presented. It is hoped to have the names ready by the end of the year for the engraver.

Vicky delivered the Halloween candy to the South Paris Veterans' Home. Another year of financial statements were sent to the National. It was voted to keep the same officers for the next year. Eight members attended the Veterans Recognition Service at the Legion hall on October 14.

Five members attended the Veterans' Day service at Locke Mills Legion on November 11, and Helvi also attended the one at Oxford Hills. Elsie and Sally will deliver items to Togus for Christmas on Friday.

A beautiful poem about a veteran by Pastor Matthew Jones was shared. The mystery package went to Bessie House. The next meeting is December 10, with exchange of gifts at Alice Hoyt's.

Franklin Grange 124 will meet on Saturday, December 1, at 10 a.m. with a potluck dinner to follow.
