I neglected to put anything in my column last week about the Parade of Lights. I was told there were five more trucks than last year, 29 in all. The crowd gathered following the parade at the fire station where they had an abundance of food for people to enjoy. Everyone seemed to have a great time visiting. It was nice to see so many out to support the firemen.

Franklin Grange met on Monday evening, October 15. Business was conducted and tickets were handed out to sell for the Thanksgiving basket. Final plans were made for the Republican supper to be held on Tuesday evening. The Mock Hee Haw Show will be on Saturday, November 10, at the Grange Hall. The next meeting is Monday, November 5.

The Historical Society met on Saturday, October 13, at the museum. The next meeting at 6 p.m. on November 10, will be at the Town Conference Room where the group will meet during the winter months.

Visitors at the home of Ken and Alice Hoyt on Saturday afternoon and evening were Bob Hoyt and Archie and Susie Gould. It was good to see them.

The Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens will hold their November meeting in Locke Mills on Thursday, November 1. The dinner will be put on by the Ladies Circle. A game party follows so please bring an item for prizes.
