West Sumner

WEST SUMNER — I called Linda Richardson and she told me about the Morrill reunion held at Larry Litchfield's home on Sunday, September 2. That would be Caroline's side of the family.

There were over 100 relatives there with lots of children. They stayed outdoors and played horseshoes, badminton, volley ball and other games. There was a lot of visiting going on.

A feast of lobster, clams, steak, chicken and just way too much food was served. That is a reunion that I want to go to. People came from Massachusetts and surrounding towns.

Dennis and Pat Bailey are the proud grandparents of a six-pound, 14-ounce baby girl born on September 5, to Merle and Christine Keogh, Dennis and Pat's daughter.

I went to the Buckfield Community Day on Labor Day. What a crowd was there - cars everywhere. I did find a place to park in back of the town office building which used to be my high school building.

I got a chance to visit with many friends I hadn't seen in a long time. There were two teams of horses from Waterford there that were beautiful and many old cars. A lot of my family were present so that made for a fun time.

I was smart enough to go to the field before the parade was quite over so I didn't have to stand in line for a long time for my delicious red hot dog.

Have a great week.
