BRYANT POND — Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The program at Whitman Memorial Library today, September 13, at 2 p.m. is Dr. Fred Jordan, back by demand, who will be speaking on terrorism and forensic management based on his work in Oklahoma City, in the aftermath of the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building.

The public is invited at no charge and there will be light refreshments.

Franklin Grange 124 met on Monday, September 3. Much business was discussed and the next meeting on September 17, will be a 6 p.m. supper and installation of officers. Please, all officers try to be at this meeting.

On Monday, Labor Day, Ken and I joined our daughter and husband, Beth and Steve Hoover, and Steve's mother Kay Hoover and traveled to Yarmouth to help celebrate granddaughter Marybeth Hoover's birthday.

We all went to eat at the Hometown Buffet in Portland, and did a little shopping. Mrs. Hoover returned to New York on Wednesday.
