North Norway

NORTH NORWAY — This will be short today. Do not know how long I will be on-line. Evidently we are receiving a weak signal and Time Warner is going to fix things today warning me I may be off-line for awhile.

Have been having such fun. Thought it must be my fault until I had the brilliant idea of calling our provider.

I want to remind you all that the next AARP Meeting is September 10 at the First Congregational Church, East Main Street, South Paris. Call Ruth at 744-9069 by Friday, September 7 to make your reservation for lunch preceding the meeting. Business meeting is at 1 p.m., followed by the program. If you have a good clean joke would appreciate having it as I am out of them.

Our big news of the week is we had the septic tank pumped as a precautionary measure. We contribute a healthy amount to its contents so feel it best to keep it clean.

Dell has the tractor out and is hauling firewood up and stacking it on the back porch ready for winter.

The Morgan clan had a big reunion up in Willis Mills at the camp Owen and Pauline used to own. They had the use of it for the weekend and held a lobster and corn cookout. Gordon and Joan Morgan supplied lots of whoopie pies. Joan said she makes the pies and Gordon makes whoopie.

Dell and Deven went up on Patch Mountain somewhere and explored the territory. Dell said he could hardly recognize the area it had changed so much. He enjoyed the outing with Deven.

Hope you all had a good summer and enjoyed Labor Day with all the festivities. More news next time.

Remember, ideas won’t work unless you do.
