BRYANT POND — Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Vacation Bible School is from 6 to 8 p.m. on August 6 to 10. Everyone is invited to attend. Looking ahead, on August 24, there will be a trip to the Sea Dogs game in Portland. Sign up if you plan to attend. On Sunday, August 28, missionary to the military Mike Farris will be speaking both at the Sunday School and morning service.

Franklin Grange 124 will meet on Monday, August 6, at 7 p.m. for Music Night. This meeting is open to the public at no charge and there will be refreshments.

On Saturday, August 11, at 7 p.m. the Grange will have a bluegrass show at the hall which will be a fundraiser for repairs. The cost is $6 for adults and there will be refreshments for sale.

The Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens will meet on Thursday, August 2, at the home of Norma Davis home for a picnic. Bring a dish to share and your own place setting. You may want to bring a chair. Hugh (Cubby) Swan will have the program.

Sympathy is extended to the families of Maude-Alice Hadley and Elwood Wing.

The Historical Society will hold its annual picnic and meeting on Saturday, August 11, at 6 p.m. at the Historical Society. This will be a cookout of hamburgers, hot dogs and salads. Bring enough to share.

Several people from town attended the retirement party for Jane Wardwell at Albany on Saturday, July 21. This was given by her nieces and nephews.
