South Woodstock

SOUTH WOODSTOCK — G'morning, dear readers, (July 6) it's a nice sunny day with beautiful blue skies and awesome white clouds scattered throughout the sky. Temperatures in the mid 70s and getting very muggy, feels like another air conditioner day.

Condolences to the families of Ken C. Swan, Louise Fenderson and Arthur N. Gouin, Jr. Love and prayers to each family member on the loss of their loved ones.

We had a great 4th of July day, starting out by enjoying a nice breakfast at Market Square, picking up a few last minute things at Hannaford's, then spending time with our son Craig and his fiance April. The four of us took a ride to Berlin, NH, then back here for supper.

Craig and I took over the kitchen in getting the food cooked and ready to serve, then we drove to Craig's to watch some fireworks display. Saw several fireworks display on our ride home then we checked out one in the valley, great show and awesome colors.

The band will be entertaining the residents in Bridgton tomorrow (July 7), guess it's gonna be another hot humid day with a few thundershowers before the day is over.

Sunday (July 8) the band will be performing in Litchfield at the Sportsman club with many other great Maine entertainers performing throughout the day.

April joined me Thursday for an afternoon ride to town. I had a few errands to run and bills to pay so asked her to ride with me for some girl time together.

Lance and his family rode by with his two-horse hitch and wagon last night. Took a few pictures of them out for a nice evening ride.

Lots of fireworks displays nightly from around the immediate area, and they have been good about not setting them off after 11 p.m.

Congratulations to Charlene and Jim Hoyt on the birth of a new granddaughter, Shawn Kumauri.

Well folks, that's all from the valley this week. Stay well, enjoy each day and take time to truly enjoy all of God's blessings.
