NORWAY — The Town of Norway now has a Facebook page! ‘Friend' them at Norway Maine to receive information on meetings, cancellations, road closings etc.

When using fireworks, please be considerate of your neighbors and their pets.

From the Recreation Department: the Swim Program starts July 10, sign up soon as classes are filling up; two Minikickers Program, for ages two-three and four-five with the Challenger Soccer Academy, will start September 4; Kindergarten Soccer will start September 8. Registration forms are on the website and at the Town Office.

The Norway Triathlon transition area is Lake Pennessewassee Park. The main parking lot will be closed at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 13 until about noon Saturday, July 14.

Boaters can use the Norway Lake Marina to access the water. The bike route will use Route 118 and Greenwood Road; the run course will use Route 118 and Roberts Road. Please drive carefully in this area from 8 a.m. to noon.

The Arts Festival will also be Saturday, July 14. Main Street will be closed from Lynn Street to Pikes Hill and Pikes Hill will be closed from Water Street to Main Street from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Detours will be clearly marked with traffic police controlling the flow.
