BRYANT POND — Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Saturday, June 23, there will be a youth event from 4 to 7 p.m.

 On Sunday, June 24, there will be a special 2 p.m. service at the East Bethel Meetinghouse. On Tuesday, June 26, the church will take the van to New Heights Baptist Church in Bridgton to help with their tent meeting.

Judith Grover Tent 17, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, met at the hall on Monday, June 11, with 10 members present. President Vicky Myers read that on this date, June 11, 1861, Unionist Virginia delegates met at Wheeling to organize a pro Union government, eventually leading to the creation of the State of West Virginia.

Delegates and alternates were appointed for the Department Convention to be held on Saturday, June 23, in Waterville. Elena Noyes and Michelle Cary are delegates, and Amanda Jordan Ames and Jane Wardwell are alternates. Elsie said we need to order markers for veterans as we will soon need them.

The next meeting in July, we will meet at the hall and travel to the cemetery where Judith Grover is buried in Bethel. Vicky Myers received the mystery package.
