South Woodstock

SOUTH WOODSTOCK — Friday March 1, a gray morning here with no sun or blue skies, 36.5 degrees, but at least it’s not snowing.

Condolences are going out to the families of Louise Guilford, Lorraine Litchfield, Ruth E. Smith, Edward A. Sawyer, Charles Holden, Dale Robinson and Barbara E. Witham. Thoughts and prayers to each family member.

Dell Parker and Ruthanne joined us for lunch yesterday (Thursday), then we practiced for an hour. It was a good practice and I am pleased. Thanks Dell!

The band entertained the seniors at Canton Villa Monday afternoon.

We drove to Waterford to visit with my niece Myra Emery this week. It’s always great spending time with her and Randy, and sitting around the table enjoying a hot cup of tea and catching up on all the daily events and other family happenings.

Stopped to visit briefly with our friend Betty Davis this week and to leave her some oranges.

Bluejays galore this morning at the feeders, a pair of Cardinals plus a red squirrel and two crows that keep landing on the lawn and scaring the chickadees and finches. I dried some bread and spread it with peanut butter and sprinkled some seeds on top and placed in the feeders, the little birds really like that.

Cliff Gray, we are thinking of you.

Off to town to get a few errands done and pick up a few groceries. Y’all have a great day.

That’s all from the valley this week. Enjoy your weekend.
